A downloadable Puzzle, Platformer. for Windows

Humans have spread and consumed unchecked for far too long. They thought no one was watching...They were wrong!

Take control of every single member of the human race and try to survive in countless trials to prove your species worthy of living on the planet earth.

How many will make it home?

1: Story

The whole universe knows that human beings are awful, dangerous and consuming.  Destroying everything they touch. The earth (which they all call home) has been punished and abused by humans for far too long and up until now the rest of the universe has ignored them. But no longer…

The heads arrived above all the continents at once. For days they floated there above the earth until the world started to treat them as an annoyance rather than a phenomenon.

This was until they spoke:

They explained that due to the heinous actions of humans over the past 2000 years, humanity as a whole has been chosen to take part in an intergalactic game show where you (The player) get to compete.

You take control of the human race one person at a time and take part in a series of timed trials and puzzles. If you complete a course you save one human life, If you fail you die.

How many of the human race will you save...or kill? You will soon find out.

Objective

The object of the game is to get as many humans as possible from the start point of the course to the finish as fast as possible. Along the way the player will encounter traps, puzzles and obstacles designed to slow you down. The timer starts when the player crosses the start line and it is up to the player to choose the best route to take to get to the end. Sometimes boxes, keys and switches will need to be collected or activated to proceed to the finish.

7: Known Issues

Issue 151: Sometimes getting shot by two bullets at the exact same time causes the death screen to not pop. This is being solved by changing bullet guns to fire guns in nearly every case

Solution: This can be resolved by pressing R and restating the course

Issue 135: Episode 2 Course 9 - 20 are missing extra puzzle items and threats.

This is being solved currently as a pass in in place

Issue 30: Sometimes crossing the start line doesnt play the commentator audio. This is due to having to remove an audio file and in some cases the audio has not been replaced causing a silence on starting the course.

About the developer

Hello there, I'm William.

Thanks for (Hopefully) playing The Human Race (Previously Run! Human! Run!)

This a game I have been making during my most anxious and depressed moments. It has been an amazing help in combating both. Its pre alpha but you get the feel.

I designed this game to be picked up and put down at any time. It requires no serious time to complete. Each level is standalone with a few features that carry over between scenes that hopefully add some character to the game.

I programmed this in c# and 3D modelled everything in the game myself using Blender, except for the trees (Which I am currently making) and used a combination of my own textures and free commercially licenced textures to make the world feel like real life. I have credited all the authors for the textures used in the credits section.

Although I made this game myself, I had a lot of love and support from my friends, I had help bringing Paul to life with the help of my amazing actor friend Andy. Also I learnt to program in HTML and CSS with the help of my best friend Tony.
